I'm just trying to wrap my mind around relativity. And I came up with the analogy:

time is to space what energy is to matter

    does this make any sense?

    None of the above.

fundamentally shows that matter and ebergy are the same thing -- two sides of a single coin.

General relativity shows that time and space are local concepts, the fundamental entity being spacetime. But even locally one can distinguish between timelike vectors and spacelike vectors, so the two are not interchangable.

    None of this is obvious.

You have it a bit wrong. You are not a genius.

You are thinking. At least you are not stuck on the Newtonian model. You are not a retard either.
