    # It is said that an incandescent solid gives a continuous spectrum. Is it true? Could anyone explain it in detail?

    if ur talking about the spectrum it gives at a certain temperature its quiote easy. all obnjects with a tmp gives away a certain amount of energy and its in different propotions and wavelenght at differents tmps. look up planck in wikipedia and u´ll fuind the formula there
