I was watching this video on youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKRPfa66_po) and I couldn't help but consider other uses for this technology, since lasers travel at light speed, couldn't we use them instead of radio waves to send messages, or information?

I understand that most lasers don't travel more than a few miles, but some stronger ones can go over 18 miles. Just something to think about.
