I have some question on the topic light.
1.when the white is passed through prism apart from the seven colour rays does the infrared ,ultraviolet and other types of rays are also produced.
    2.what is white light made.
3.how can we clearly define spectrum as.

Putting white light through a prism we generally get a continuous specrum of colors depending the source of the light and the limits of the transparency of the material of the prism. Sunlight certainly includes ultraviolet and infra red light but glass is not transparent to ultra-violet.

When we look closer at this continuous spectrum of light we find gaps that tell us about the source of the light and everything that light has passed through. Black gaps usually indicate that the light has passed through something which absorbs light of that particular color.

This is a detailed spectrum of sunlight.
