    Hello.
    Everytime I look up the photoelectric effect, i get a lot of info. on Planck and Hertz but not on Einstein.

    Can someone help me with these questions? If not, add good links.
    -What's his photoelectric effect equation?
    -Additions to or justifications of earlier physicists' ideas.
    -Quantum theory? Classical Physics destroyed?
    -Impact on society?

    All help is much appreciated.

    Hi Dorex,
    As far as I understood you need to have a good book on Modern Physics as websites can give you only additional help. I think you should go for "Concepts of Modern Physics by Arthur Beiser".
    Hope this helps.

    Ek=hf-W
    hf is the photons energy, Ek is the kinetic energy fo the electron, W is the workl required to make it move.

    the classical physic said light was a wave, this confirms plancs theory that says its a particle. so we have a duelity called wave-particle duelity. wich were teh start of quantum mechanic.

    impact on society? well we have sun catchers today
