Thread: Proof question... help lol

I can't help you too much with your question right now, other than to suggest drawing a free-body diagram at a couple of different points and writing out the equations and figuring out what you know and don't know, but I can offer one suggestion. This is a forum where people come once or twice a day when they have time, so bumping after just 30 minutes is completely pointless. Give it at least a day or two before bumping. Also, it's generally a good idea to show what work you've done, as that generally gets more and better responses.

Try writing down an equation that puts potential and kinetic energy in equilibrium. Then try to modify it by introducing a term that includes friction. The friction "absorbs" some potential energy on the expense of kinetic energy. Use trigonometry to make the directions of gravity and movement parallel.
