i have these queries regarding the basic concepts of physics. i am not sure whether i am correct or not..

once i tried symplifying the relative mass of photons, considering them to have some rest mass, even its so small also, it came to infinite value.

why should not the photons have rest mass. is it to satisfy the law.

Photons have zero rest mass and always travel at the speed of light. That's just the way it is. "Why" is a very difficult question.

"Why" isn't even a physics question. It's a philosophy question.

Photons can't have any rest mass, since that'd imply an infinite relaticistic mass when travelling at light speed.
