i thought about this for a long time.
and tried to make a list of all types of energy that are known and used by man.(as types of energy i mean way of storing energy)
e.g. solar, heat, electric, nuclear, fuel etc...

but eventually if to break all these types of energy down to the subatomic level they all are actually :
    either kinetic energy
or magnetic/gravity energy(i am not so sure i can put these two together but up to you to judge)

anyways my question is are there any other type of energy that are not a cause of the above types of energies ?

If you get down to the atomic level, energy is pretty much just energy. Note that energy and mass are also the same thing (), so the more you approach fundamentals the less classification tends to mean.

ye - energy is simply energy but the types you listed are a specific form that allow engineers/scientists to be more accurate about what they are dealing with.

it is a good thing to learn as scientists can be VERY picky about their words/meanings when explaining things and rightly so, but yes in essence it is all the same stuff.

do you know much about the history of the planetary model and quantum physics? it can help put these things into context.

If you break your energy "types" down to sources you get just two:
    Solar -- including fossil fuels.
Nuclear -- pushing back into pre-history also solar in origin, and this would include geothermal too.

With a little added jolt of:
Cosmic -- all those neutrinos whizzing through you right now

We can make energy two ways.
If we break molecular bonds, ie. tear away atomic electrons, we release chemical energy. This happens in most earthly processes such as red/ox reactions, fire, batteries, etc.
If we break apart or ( for atomic numbers less than 26, Fe) put together atomic nuclei we release atomic energy. This happens in the centre of the sun and on earth during the last 50 yrs (man made) and is the result of mass to energy convesion. Using antimatter would lead to total conversion.

Chemical energy can be attributed to Elcromagnetic force which binds electrons to atomic nuclei. Atomic energy is attributed to the weak nuclear force (related to electromagnetic force) and to the strong nuclear force. These forces control radioactivity and bind protons in the atomic nucleus respectively.

The only force left is gravity and in everyday occurrence, gives rise to potental/kinetic energy which we harvest from, say, a waterfall to produce electricity. Although some have postulated using the gravitational field of a rotating black hole to produce vast amounts of power. Romulan starships do !

Is atomic energy part of type of energy....where can we use atomic energy...
