    here the art im gonna do:


    the thing is that if it starts horizontal rotating 30 the weight will fall 0.5m if the beam is 1 m long and if it starts vertical rotating 30 means lowering the weight 0.1 while for the same 30 however it starts it wraps the same in the pulley

    thats why starting horizontal it will fall over since it wraps less in the pulley than it falls

    but if it starts almost vertical it wont fall since it will wrap up more than it falls

    You're deserving of credit for putting your ideas up against the test of empiricism, and more so for acknowledging when they were proven mistaken. Seriously... I wish more people would do both of those things.

    once again the laws of thermodynamics comes back to bite - when does it not ever do so?

    the carnot cycle is also a good insight into all this 'free energy' lark - it might even be the closest you could get in light of what is usually found - that conservation of energy was written for a reason!
