Thread: Functional Integrated Bioelectronics?

I am looking into the possibilities of integrating cells or molecules into electical circuits and was wondering if anyone knows of any successful functional devices that have been constructed in this field?

Well, it actually has been done and it slowly is reaching commercial stage. Generically this devices are known as "biochips" and I think that the most developed field is that concerning chemical sensors able to detect very low concentrations of a target chemical.
