Hi. does anyone know what the problems produced by the limited range of the electromagnetic spectrum avaliable for communication purposes?

Also, What are the types of communication data that are stored in transmitted in digital form?

It would also be helpful if you could give me some links related to those two questions.

    Thanks in advance.

If this is a homework assignment, which it has all the appearance of being, then how about telling us what your preliminary answers are and we can comment on those.

Well I'm lead to believe that there are no limits to the range of electromagnetic spectrum we can use for communication.

Radio is used for well,,,,,,radio- longer wavelengths for emergency communication as they get shorter they are used for FM radio.

light is used in fibre optics

Microwaves are used in mobile phone communication.

as you get to the shorter wavelengths, i think that they are used more for stellar communication.

But, I'm not sure about the second question. "What are the types of communication data that are stored in transmitted in digital form? "

How much communication is carried out using gamma rays, x-rays, UV, IR?
What limitations exist for each of these?
    (Why?)

Consider why the different wavelengths are used for the different purposes.

This question has the feel of one that is looking for a parroting of something you have specifically been given in your course work. Does anything come to mind?
You might try listing all the kinds of data that are transmitted, then decide whether these are transmitted in analog or digital format.
