up to 0.39 mW for continuous exposure with a 600 nm laser (see class 1 lasers)

It depends on the wavelength and exposure time.

What is the maximum power I could get with a laser from a DVD or Playstation?

I am thinking to use two batteries of 1.5V plugged in series, and a heat exchanger made from fans, to avoid overheating. If this works, i will try with three batteries, then four... until induce the nuclear reaction of hydrogen in the air... Very simple, isn't?

You should probably not mess around with lasers.

Or electricity, or fire, or sharp scissors, or mechanisms that can launch projectiles, or .....

    Ben Franklin nearly killed himself.

    Solomon Lefshetz lost an arm.

    Lavoisier got mercury poisoning.

You are neither Franklin, Lefshetz nor Lavoisier.

Some people should not play with matches, or sharp objects, or electricity, or .....

Probably, because in the age of them, there wasn't ANSI, or protections, and they were unaware of the risks. However, a lot of failed experiments, become in the solution of big problems.

I have protective glasses used while cutting with oxyfuel. And I will use piping to isolate the laser.
