    So I don't really understand what negative matter is. So can someone give me the beginner's version explanation?

    I doubt if there is such a term. You may be thinking of anti-matter.

    no, i know what anti-matter is, but i have heard of negative matter its gravity is supposed to repel positive matter's.

    For a start, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exotic_matter. I can't comment much on it myself, but I'm reasonably sure its existence is currently only conjecture.
