    Hi people, I was doing some work on this in college and was wondering if someone can give me some background info on this subject.

    I was wondering what the theories are behind combining resistors or components in series and parallel

    Obtain a circuit theory or physics text and look up Kirchoff's laws. There are two of them. All of passive circuit theory follows from those laws.
