I'm wondering if anyone can provide me with formulae or references to how I would figure out the change in temperature of a gas as it is compressed or expanded?

I want to try and figure out the pressures required for the fractional distilling air. In other words, what pressure would be required to lower ''X'' volume of gas to 50K from 300K for example?
