1. What would happen when you walk over the side? Anyone got mathematical formulas? Ideas? Where can I find more information on a cube earth?

2.

3. As you moved from the center of one of the cube faces to the edge it would seem as if you were walking up hill. Actually going over the edge from one face of the cube to another would seem like climbing over the top of a hill and falling down the other side, with each side having a 45 degree slope.

4. Heh heh. I'll have to ponder how we could make that work. It is possible to form cubes within bubbles, so intuitively a cube Earth may be possible...

Well it depends. Are you just asking about a cubic shaped "planet" or do we take what we see in your picture seriously?

In the first case you would just have a planet with eight very large mountains and 12 very high mountain passes -- all with peculiarly regular shapes.

In the second case I would guess that this planet has some sort of SF imaginary gravity generating devices to keep the surface gravity constant. In that case what you would actually experience is up to your imagination as would be the case with all imaginary science.

6. I suspect that after millions of years the edges would get a bit more round and one could walk over the edge and gravity would hold them to the sides. After a small amount of disorientation one would not know they were on another flat side.

This is a friggin stupid thread
