    It's just photographic trickery. Maybe a modified green screen effect?

    They merely place a camera behind the person, and project the image on. Looks kinda cool in a video, but would be totally lame in real life.

    I read from somewhere that a tank is being developed which uses that feature.


    Camera is used on one side to project to the other.

    camouflage like that isn't very useful for tanks either, since tanks are usually
    pretty dirty.

    here's a leopard in normal offroad getup, with some minor dirt soaked on.


    usually the whole hull is either a pale, or dark brown from all the dirt,
    with some spatter on the turret as well.
