What LHC experiments can give to life of normal people? Can it give us new inventions, technologies, devices or maybe we will be able to use new kinds of energy? Or LHC experiment is just to get knowledge and information about how universe was made?

It is often not possible to anticipate the applications of the results of basic scientific research, and it often takes years before those results find engineering applicatioins. But history shows that progress in science inevitably results in progress in engineering that applies to everyday life.

Newton's theory of mechanics, Maxwell's theory of electrodynamics, and Gibbs formulation of thermodynamics have provided us with telecommunications, satellites, weapons, airplanes, trains, automobiles, cheap electric power, refrigeration, ..... Einsteiin's theory of relativity is critical to the precise timing required for the Global Positioning System. Pontryagin's maximal principle built on Bliss's dynamical calculus of variations and coupled with Kalman's state space methods has given us means to provide precise control of aircraft, automobile engines, rockets and spacecraft, petroleum distallation units, electrical generation and distribution systems, ... Nuclear physics has provided a green source of energy to much of the world.

Fundamental understanding of physics is critical to future development of technology, probably in ways that we cannot anticipate today. Our understanding of the sub-atomic world is still incomplete and the LHC experiments will help to open a window on that world. We do not know what the eventual benefits will be, but if the past is any indication, those benefits will eventually acrue.
