you must be judged by your deeds and not by your thoughts.

Why should you be judged at all?

Obviously you shouldn't. But there again, here we are; Judged by our thoughts.

We are being judged because society requires it.

We are being judged as it is part of human emotion.

Why, it doesn't serve a purpose, anarchy would be superior, being screwed by aliens is nothing compared to society.

But I guess you know that allready.

    Why does society require it?
Why do you need to join the activities of society, especially if those activities are counterproductive?

I make judgments regarding the people who post here, for the purpose of deciding if it would be worth my time to read what they have written.

You don't mean that you use the forbidden button, do you?

No, I just scroll on down the page.

Some other examples where we judge people: An employer makes judgments on performance for the purpose of hiring, promoting or firing. A jury judges a person's guilt or innocence.

    Is there some alternative?

We make judgements, not because society requires it, but because we are bioligically programmed to do so. Judgements are necessary in order to decide upon courses of action (or inaction). This determines our survival, success or failure. We have evolved the ability and the drive to judge.
