Is it possible to assert that the past is a state of the present recorded by us?

And a return to the past is a change in the state of the present present, towards the state of the present that you have recorded.

But then the problem looms, that globally, changing the state of the present, you will change both yourself and your memory.

Although it was stated in the wikipedia article on the meaning of life, which states that

IFrom the point of view of systems analysis, all goals considered as the meaning of life form the set of all possible goals. These goals can be compared with each other, which allows us to rank all goals in sequence. The goal that will have the greatest weight can claim to be the true meaning of life.

In practice, the result of such modeling is the theory that the meaning of life is to slow down the rate of growth of entropy.
