Can you think of any way to prove those around you are conscious? That we are not all living in a hologram of a world, one created by an external or internal source for our comfort or other means.

It's a tough question but I hear a lot, things like; "Am I me?" "Am I real?" "Are you real?" "How do I know you're real?"

Interesting to think about, as well!

You'd think that if something or someone was smart enough to keep us in a false reality (Like in the Matrix or something like that?) I'm sure they'd also be able to keep people from asking that question, that is if they wanted to. To step away from that hologram world thing though, that whole sort of existential type questions are meaningless, imo. If others weren't real you should be able to predict what they're going to say, and what they're going to do with a stunning accuracy. At least those are my thoughts about stuff like that.

What about ESP?Dreaming of up coming events and they happen.Ive had it happen four times to me in the last three years.

Don't you forget half of a dream within five minutes of waking up? Becoming 90% within ten minutes? That's what I've always heard. I'm not implying you're lying, I'm just wondering if there is a possibility you applied fragments of your dreams to real events later on with parts actually just being something you think you remember?

While I will hold that I am undecided about ESP, I'm willing to hold the majority of scientists reject it as an actual legitimate phenomenon.

The four dreams I had was not of any value,but very unique. When the event occurred it was like a deshavu. I had a reoccurring dream to where I woke up and went outside my home and I felt intense heat.I've also have felt wind in my dreams to.

Those bits of dreams are usually just that - fragments. Some people train themselves to 'actively' dream, but that's pretty uncommon.

And deja vu ? Deja vu is just a bit of short circuiting in brain function. You experience an event but, for completely unknown reasons, the memory processing bypasses the short term and goes straight into long term. So the apparent familiarity of the circumstance is entirely due to the fact that it appears to come from the 'wrong' brain process, the one we normally call recognition.

You haven't seen or heard or felt it before. It just seems like it.

We also tend to forget most of our dreams, especially is there's no connection to what happened. If something has a vague resemblance to one of thousands of dreams we have over a lifetime, we tend to remember it we've evolved to make a pattern out of it because false positives are less risky than false negatives (e.g., you don't detect the lioness stalking you).

There is most probably no such thing as ESP or psychic abilities. How do I know? Because there have been numerous attempts by reputable scientists to uncover any such ability, and they have consistently failed.

Psychics shouldn't need the Randi prize when you consider the amount of lotteries there are. Unless by personal choice, there shouldn't be any poor psychics.

Now this is an interesting one. I have long felt that only a small percentage of my fellow humans are conscious with the rest being automatons. Every time I queue at a supermarket checkout this notion is reinforced.

If I could bring something on earth to life that has never lived before would that win the prize?

I do not think you need second proof!!!!
Yes personally consciousness is very amazing, unbelievable and most surprising thing for me
Some time it really difficult imagine how consciousness can exist in nature that nothing more than material
