Ok, anyone heard of the invention machine? (the one referred to in popular mechanics(~2008 maybe), anyway, the machine would get rid of models that were innefficient to the specs. Say the antenna, the specs were that there had to be an increase in reception. The computer would "give birth" to similar versions, and the inefficient ones would be eliminated. Perhaps the only reason humans have conflict is that others are percieved as inefficient, or detrimental to their own efficiency(the efficiency in this case being any goal, small or great, obvious or not (these being the specs our mind comes up with)). So all human conflict is just a conflict in efficiency, and depending on how much inneficiency there is, or how much efficiency is impeded, causes conflict to arise. Efficiency also possibly leads to evolution...

If the good fight is VS inefficency why havent we defeated religion yet?

I disagree with virtually everything that was said here

And I want to point out that Efficiency (as scientific research) is not an objective truth devoid of subjectivity, something is more efficient with respect to subjectively selected criterion or functional objective in a given context. When people loose track of the subjetivity we sometimes get aberrations like the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment.

As Ice pointed out this lies at the heart of the matter. Unless you have defined the objectives of the system how can you assess efficiency. You might also wish to consider the distinction between efficiency and effectiveness.

I see no evidence whatsoever to support this novel suggestion. The evidence points towards conflict arising out of a perceived threat to the individual or group, or a perceived opportunity for the individual or group. If you wish this to go anywhere you need to defend and justify this seemingly flawed statement.
