We are looking for a moderator of this sub forum. Nominees should be of good standing on the forum with at least 200 meaningful posts relevant to this sub forum.

We are not looking for someone to clarify who is right or wrong on any topic, we are looking for someone who will uphold the basic forum guidelines.

Those guidelines can be found here

You are not allowed to nominate yourself or nominate a member if you yourself have less then 100 posts.

The first person to reach 5 unique nominations will be considered for the job. This will not be an automatic win for the nominee in all cases. Multiple nominees will be looked at and one chosen by myself or through further debate.

Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name

I'll take that in to consideration if we don't have any more nominees.

He made a joke there. Coberst rarely takes part in active discussion.

Not sure about this one. :?

This one is also difficult, but I'll go with Pong as well.

I also nominate Pong. He's got a good attitude where it counts.
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.

I may be too indulgent, and , honestly... I'm not the sharpest knife in this drawer.

Besides, I think Chaotic would enjoy the job.

I agree, I think sunshinewarrior would also be a great mod.

Any of the above would be great, but my vote goes to sunshine warrior. It's all in the name.

You know, sunshine warrior has only posted about 5 times in philosiphy in the past 4 months? And on top of that he hasn't been on the forum in over a fortnight. It seems illoigcal to vote him in for mod, when he doesn't visit this sub forum much. He would make a great mod, but I believe that would be wasted here. Vote for him where he more frequently visits, I have (can't remember where though).

Chaotic and Sunshine tied, assuming Sun ever rises to accept. I'm kinda jittery, so am bouncing my nominations back out there. It's looking like, Chaotic.

    I'll also go for 425 Chaotic R. I think he'll be fair-minded and reasonable.

Sorry about that guys. I admit to having got a bit fed up of trying to engage in discussions when a long post is made as an OP with no attempt at a reply, which is why I have not visited this particular part of the science forum for so long.

Also why I missed this discussion. I am sure 425 Chaotic Requisition (Willmer of yore?) will be a fine moderator, but I would be happy to undertake the task if asked and will, should that happen, engage to be present frequently enough for it to be meaningful.

I'm going to vote proporly. My silent votes seem to have gone unoticed. Thanks sunshine for the good word too. Thanks to all who voted. I don't seem likely to get the job, so therefore to give sunshine warrior the 5th and final dead cert vote. I dedicate my official vote to:

    Sunshine warrior.

    Good luck mate.
