I am wondering how human beings are going to survive in the years to come. If there are major changes which threaten our existence how will nature develop us to cope with the changes? What changes will be made within us uman beings?

    I personally hope one the two following;

If a certain part of the world was left untouched for this to happen..
All ignorant get wiped out as part of a cleasing of mother nature, leaving only those willing to live sufficiently and in peace upon Earth, evolving, growing, understanding and comprehending themselves and reality to a higher level, living as one race one people in tune and in balance with earth and its creatures.

    or

For a mental evolution to take place within the human brain.. A new section of the brain opened for the conscious mind to abilitate and use to survive .. survive in sense that it could kind of make one.. disapear... A mental evolution which breaks down the structure of the body and physical mind into pure consciousness.

Maybe both of these one after the other..
    Maybe not

    Naive.

    Maybe maybe not.

    This shows an open mind.

I am not saying that the above will happen.. as the topic title says.. DREAMING about survival..

Feel free to put down your ideas of the future

Well it does sound rather personal and ...youthful.

You hope Mother Earth will make hard-headed idiots go away. And you hope to disappear into a sort of aloof & secure dream state.

An elaboration on my previous statement.

I am wondering how human beings are going to survive in the years to come. If there are major changes which threaten our existence how will nature develop us to cope with the changes? What changes will be made within us uman beings?
I assume you mean in an evolutionary context. Well as with everything thing evolutionary, it will be slow and gradual which is the opposite of anthropogenic ''changes'' as you put them.

Hence where my original post came from. Who decides who's ignorant or perhaps I should rephrase that as who decides who lives and who dies?
Humans will never live in peace, this is a guarantee, the only hope of peace upon Earth is the unification against a common threat i.e. extra-terrestrial ''A common enemy unites all''. For example an impending asteroid impact...etc.

For a mental evolution to take place within the human brain.. A new section of the brain opened for the conscious mind to abilitate and use to survive .. survive in sense that it could kind of make one.. disapear... A mental evolution which breaks down the structure of the body and physical mind into pure consciousness.
The classic ''ascension'' ideology... This assuming it is indeed possible via evolutionary mechanisms would not take place for eons. Although the concept could conceivably be achieved via a cybernetic solution, a unified conscienceness, a hive mind perse.
Thinking of the question is greater than knowing the answer...

We have to put up with morons and idiots, not becasue we see them as that, but because they are only so becasue they are afraid. Either that or can't cope with the world. Poor soles.

It always makes me laugh when people or certain groups of people consider everyone else to be morons and idiots except them.

It's like casting a circle of exceptionally about themselves so they can preserve their dignified and smug arrogance by regarding everyone else as rabble.

Yet they don't realise how naive and ignorant this attitude really is and how it is this very attitude which underlies suffering and creates wars.

    Alright in that spirit...

I would like to see population densities internationally regulated. This means that countries hoarding the resource of ...well, land resource... would be bindingly required to open for exploitation so currently overpopulated areas can thrive just as former colonial powers thrived by export of their historic excess population. I know a lot of people think "oh, they'll just keep breeding like rabbits" but we did see this scenario work before in Europe's case.

I think that global population will stabilize at some dynamically uncomfortable level. Haves and have-nots, wars, the economic ball rolling 'round. Geopolitics shifting yet never settled, as in Orwell's 1984. It might not be so bad. At least cyclic change is certain.

I hope that we will cull the whales and squid to just a notch above endangered, and take the krill for ourselves. Krill is the largest animal protein resource on Earth.

I don't want us extending human ethics to nature. That is sick IMHO. I believe we can muddle through as thoughtful animals, which is all we are now and I don't mind living and possibly dying out as such.

It would be nice to leap into space, but this may not be in the cards. We can't metagame our way into that. It would have to be deliberate. Anyway no substantial number of Earthlings will emigrate, though from a few thousand pioneers we could someday astronomically outnumber Earth's limited population.

Big-picture deliberation may not be in the cards. I think only collective utopia/distopia enables that, and we're afraid to enable such a government. The limit of our species governance may be damage control here on Earth.
