Does anyone see a collation between the two unknowns of Gravity and Time. If the universe stopped expanding, wouldn't time stop, and have a effect on all biological life? Also at this time is all the strong gravity being used to expand the universe? leaving us only the weak gravity. I am probably totally wrong but I see Time and Gravity strongly linked together.

Strong gravity? Please explain what you mean by that.

    No 1.
And why do say they're "unknowns"?

If the universe stopped expanding, wouldn't time stop, and have a effect on all biological life?
    Why do you think this?
Does time go "faster" if you're in a high speed car?

Also at this time is all the strong gravity being used to expand the universe? leaving us only the weak gravity.
What makes you think there's "strong" and "weak" gravities?

I am probably totally wrong but I see Time and Gravity strongly linked together.
I won't say you're totally wrong, but I can't see anything that you've got right.

    1 Other than the usual.

Thanks I guess I thought since the big bang - time begun - if the universe is still expanding then time is expanding with it. Gravity is the force expanding the universe! So if the universe stops expanding it would have a effect on time, and gravity. I know it is usual.

I thought gravity was the force left over from the expansion of the Universe..

What makes you think time is "expanding"?

Gravity is the force expanding the universe!
    Citation needed. (I.e. you're wrong).

So if the universe stops expanding it would have a effect on time, and gravity.
    No. Still an unsupported supposition.

    I know it is usual.
Apparently not - you appear to have misunderstood what I wrote.
AND failed to answer any questions asked of you.

Time is based on where you are in relation with the edge of the universe. As the universe expands so does time. Also once the universe stops expanding there will be no gravity.

So you've gone from ASKING and accepting that you're "probably totally wrong" 1 to simply posting the same assertions again and again without support and then (it is to be hoped) leaving in, what? disgust? Frustration? in a grand total of 4 posts.
Ah, if only all cranks had such a short attention span...

1 Unless, of course, you were being deeply insincere and were trying to push your inane claim as "factual" from the start. I wonder the chances of that are.

I said goodbye already. so goodbye. By the way the cooling of the Universe is what causes gravity...

But you didn't go, and you STILL haven't gone.

    Arrant nonsense.

My conclusions are as valid as any others, the only difference is I did not spend a life time to still come up with no answers, I spent only 5 minutes. Thanks to the idiots at CERN who waste their time trying to figure out we are not living in a fishbowl. And still have not even the first clue how large or small things are. Pathetic waste of time. Oh did I say time.... Sting theory is equivalent to wearing the hugest Dunce cap of all time. How come your precious Quantum mechanics doesn't work anymore with the smallest of particles. I wasted five minutes to come up with nothing, the people at CERN will never get it.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER.. Can you explain NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER how long is NEVER it is NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER

    Moderator Comment: This is twofold:

jacate - if your alternative idea is very wooly, like the one you have presented here, and you are simply seeking a better understanding, then please post with questions asking for clarification. Making ill informed statements as if they were fact is a disservice to readers of the thread. If you actually believe something of the sort you have proposed is logical, or supported by evidence then you need to begin a major program of self education.

PhDemon and Dywyddyr - please stop acting as if all members who post nonsense should be immediately be subjected to ridicule and harassment. A small percentage are simply uninformed and misguided, and would respond positively to mentoring and dialogue. Your approach assures we scare those away. The dickheads will stay regardless and it will be easy enough to identify them then.

No, your conclusions are random made up nonsense and have exactly no validity because of this. Please go away and read about how science works, you are just embarassing yourself. As it is obvious you are never going to make a sensible contribution and are an anti-science troll you are going on ignore.

PhDemon and Dywyddyr, jacate posted while I was writing my post. My position remains the same - be more circumspect please.

jacate - if you don't 'believe' in science then you best not frequent this forum. I'm giving you two days to think about that.
