Tired of the same old weight every morning? Spray GRAVITY REPELLENT on your scales.

Did shipping your entire collection of full-size locomotive engines overload the plane and now they threaten to charge you more? Spray GRAVITY REPELLENT on the plane's underside and wings. And don't forget those pesky landing gear.

Need to change the lightbulbs in your vaulted ceiling? Spray GRAVITY REPELLENT on your feet, and up you go!

Perhaps the Staff could install a questionnaire that must be filled in before you can create a SF profile?
The questionnaire contains e.g. 10 questions, which are designed to test if the individual belongs on the Science Forum.

    An example: Fun Quiz
PhDemon and Howard Roark like this.
"The only safe rule is to dispute only with those of your acquaintance of whom you know that they possess sufficient intelligence and self-respect not to advance absurdities; to appeal to reason and not to authority, and to listen to reason and yield to it; and, finally, to be willing to accept reason even from an opponent, and to be just enough to bear being proved to be in the wrong."

The answer "yes" to any of these -- automatic crank badge.

You seem to base your questions on the Crankpot Index,
but I was thinking about asking questions that give use indications that the threads of a member will end up in the Trash Can.

    For example:
Does (a)ether (or a substance with the alleged same properties) exist and has it been scientifically demonstrated?
Is there a contradiction between GRT and SRT or are they wrong and can you mathematically demonstrate it?
Is Intelligent Design/Creationism a viable alternative when compared with the theory of evolution?
Do Holy Books and/or Texts contain accurate scientific information (regardless of the findings of modern science)?
Are "Ancient Aliens" explanations scientific and do they hold place in the field of archaeology?
    Etc.

Q: How many science forum members does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Only one, if it's the guy who invented Gravity Repellent.

    Excellent! May I add one?

    4. Do you feel that the "establishment science mafia" has conspired to keep your discoveries out of publications?

Now, to all of you who have posted excellent screening questions and fun facts: this is why we need cranks to be allowed to post, to have a fun start of the day!
