So I've been trying to design my hydrogen car better as to not make it a perpetual motion machine. I've come up with a new way of designing it using natural gas as part of the fuel system to get the car started and using the hydrogen that can be made while the car is running whenever there's enough of it stored to get you say 50 miles then switching it back to the natural gas. Hydrogen and natural gas could be adapted to be used in tandem switching back and forth by using a computer to allow for that function. This way you'd get a car that for perhaps half of the time using the free hydrogen and the other half using the natural gas.

My other idea was just using hydrogen but as was stated it was a perpetual type of machine but this one seems a better way to go. What say everyone or anyone?

You're still not getting the idea. There is no free hydrogen.

Free, as in costless, or free, as in existing in the free state? jocular

I guess either answer will do. You can make hydrogen, but it will cost you more energy than you get back out.
