Gentle Science Forum People of all ranks and plumages - Esp. Oph & Roc & kindred spirits:

I have archived and studied the exchange we all shared and learned much from it (I think, and hope so...)

All of the cogent material (THE FASTEST GROWING VIOLENT CRIME IN THE UNITED STATES) occurred months ago (3/06) is importantly recorded, whereas, the home pages I took the liberty of leaving, are obsolete, as of 7/1/06.

The suggested change of scientific rather than socio phenomenological topic is theoretical physics (with a minimum of mathematics).

    The home page is http://forums.delphiforums.com/EinsteinGroupie.

You are - and AnyOne so inclined, is - authorised as Guests to access and scrutinize that forum. Given the latitude that both of you and others showed in the imbroglio - and it's many crystal clarifications - we shared not long ago, it would be an honor to hear your comments about the TOTAL UNIFIED FIELD THEORY, Pts One thru Nine (and beyond) at the above URL. If you go there you'll land on Pt. VII at the bottom of that - above provided URL - page and when you open Pt. VII you'll see how it accesses you to all of the partitions in the post.

I am abundantly assured by previous readers that for all of its elevated station as a topic of discussion, it's strongest quality is its elegant simplicity. Yes. I did just say that, perhaps with some inappropriate pride, but the boast originated in compliments equal to and surpassing the vaunt... On such marginal notes of commentary on this subject and in its ensuing discussions, I can only be - ineffably - humbled.

There's no math and a fair amount of remarkably simple geometry. A critique from either or both of you, I am quite sure, by your leave(s), I will publish as part of the AFTERWARD of that work - if it's okay with either and both of you. Repeat, it would certainly be an honor...

I cannot thank you enough for the engagement, candor, passion, patience and veracity you have both demonstrated. Not only toward me, but toward each other and to what I believe is the inevitable benefit of whatever Readers scrutinized the exchange and drew their own conclusions. With your permission, I will further publish that exhange, also. I remain, very respectfully, K.B.Robertson.

Unfortunately, the ubiquitous floccinaucinihilipilification of sesquipedalianism common among frequenters of these forums occults our understanding of your post.

    To clarify:

Visit http://forums.delphiforums.com/EinsteinGroupie to discuss total field theory without getting knee-deep in math.

Is there anything I left out? (Did that poll mean anything?)

    Dear bubbleclip:
I couldn't locate the two most challenging words in you message, but, I think I get it.

Oph seems to (I think?) get his (curtly bouyant, dazzling?) point across swimmingly, also.

As regards the poll, each time I hit the 'Submit' button, three times it said it couldn't be submitted until I filled in at least two polls. At the count of three such fulfillments, I completed the fourth. Meanwhile. I started with no poll entrys at all, but two were required of me, so I just sorta winged it.
Thank you for considering and responding to my post.

(Even Upper has commented, The New Gravity <by several other titles> may not ever let you down.)

    Dear Zelos:
For a guy who says he won't answer, that was a heckuvva reply.
You probly wouldn't have any trouble at all gainsaying the referred work, if you graced it with your invincible authority.

At the risk of offending you Zelos, but in the interest of having more of your posts read by more people: please use a spellchecker; scientists also write in clear English.

It isn't the English, it's the spelling and shortcuts. They are, for me at least, very distracting. The u thing is especially so. This is an internet forum, not a text messaging centre.

I do wish to make it clear I am speaking as myself and not wearing my moderator hat. You are perfectly free to ignore my suggestion, but I fear others will share my distraction. Perhaps it's a generational thing.

I cant understand a word of this, it's nonsense to me.
    Lets just start with:

If a 50,000 megaton Cobalt missile airburst, two miles above L.A., would there be any noise? (What?)
Is it prudent to compromise a securely sealed can of whoopaz, clearly labled: 'Don't Open This'?

What is catching the sound waves of a blast that happened ~2 seconds ago got to do with making a decision to exercize caution over curiosity?

    Dear imaplanck:

The poll questions were misunderstood by me (I'm nearly computer illiterate) to be a requirement rather than an option; once you enter one, you're obliged to enter another.
The first question was a take-off on the old saw about a tree falling in the woods and if there was no one to hear it, would there be any noise, or an unignorable event ignored by everyone. The second was some grim humor circulating about the insurgent element in Iraq - that the terrorists have started something they can't stop; of course it has other applications as well. I made up the one about the non-sequitur and the oxymorn in agreement about the 3 body problem.

Your sincereity is disarming. although the questions may indeed be thought provoking, they are presented in general levity ('nonsense'). For some reason the main entry obliged me to ask poll questions, or at least I thought it did at the time. So I just sort of ad libbed. I apologize to you and anyone who may have been confused by that.

The poll questions imaplank refers to, follow:

Oh im sorry I get confused with levity and complete moronity these days.

You should see the complete nonesense and lack of understanding of physics exhibited by some people on this and other forums. People who are genuinely serious and under the delusion that any old filbert can overturn cast iron science from the use of google and wikipedia.
My apologies for not responding to you as the next John Clease instead of an individual who has somewhat retarded mental faculties.

    Dear Imaplanck:
The work of yours truly is a narration of established facts, connected to one another as not previously connected. The resources of google and wikepedia are used to authenticate my unprecedented solutions to previously intractable problems. If you read the work you're ranting about you'd know that. Gonna do a book report on an anthologically based book you've not read. Moreover, the source material for the ground work was established, connected, published and sold out in small press, repeatedly, decades before the internet - let alone wikepedia or google - was available to the public.

You can't be expelled from a classroom you've never been in. Moreover, a misspelled word here and there is excusable and may pass as a typo, but your somewhat retarded mental facilities are approaching the name calling status of psycho. (Take two anvils and call yerself a Dr. in the morning?)

    Post Script:
Einstein did not spell 'indeed', as 'indeeded', for example.
You may misrepresent Truly Yours at will, but you'll pay for misrepresenting Einstein - especially every time you sign out. You are a careless and silly old-filbert-emulating ageism bigot. You may or not be happy to know I've never heard of John Clease and don't give a a damn how you or any English language spoiling, moronic name caller like you thinks of me.
