if you were smaller than an proton and lived on a proton and considered the proton as your planet you would discover things that were smaller than you and you would understand that the core of your planet has quarks in it, which would be obviously larger than you as is our core in Earth is larger than us in relative terms. you would also be able to study the surface of the proton and understand its movements and surface features. you may also say that the fabric of space of your space is strings as in string theory. and you may or may not be able to see them depending on how small strings are in string theory. but if you couldnt see them you would be able to look at them through a zepto scope or maybe a imaging device that could measure smaller than yocto depending on your relative size and size of device (understand these terms would be relative to you not us on earth). but you would always find something infinitely smaller than that even and you would infinitely hypothesize and theorize. but you would also look up into the sky or what you would percieve as your sky anyways and see things moving around your proton planet and since you are moving at relative speeds of the atomic scale you would be able to define the location of electrons and they would seem like very distant comets that revolve around you. you may also see distant nuclei and comets further than your atomic system. and you would calculate as far as you could and find that there are a very large number of Atoms like the one your on and you would consider infinite as anything that is larger than all the atoms in whatever object you are in which u would percieve as you universe. anything beyond that is beyond definiton and so therefore is infinitely large. So where do we as humans on earth sit in terms of infinity if there are nearly infinitely small scales in our universe and also an almost infinite boundary to our universe. OUR WE NOT INFINITLY LARGE and infinitly small. And what is a fraction of infinity in any direction it is infinity. I AM INFINITE!!!!! you may not be though because you may put limits on your self and thats just how you think thats ok too because I AM NOTHING as well because there are things infinitely greater than our universe and this causing me to become infinitely small and 1 divided by infinity is 0 because it is infinitley small.

    This is not mathematics.

    It is not physics either.

    What it is is gibberish.

it is a complex metaphor, and since you replied first ill tell you the mathematics. draw any shape on a piece of paper for simplicity draw a triangle and the sides all equal infinity. if you were an intelligent scholar you can tell me the interior angles, but heres the hard part you only can use the math man has to tell me those angles. go ahead answer my infinite paradox that obeys the theorom of a triangle

the answer to this metaphorical speculative question lies within the answer to this question what is the interior angles of a triangle whose sides all equal infinite distance using your best trigonometric equations.

why am I not suprised the OP is banned for trolling?

irrespective, I'm going to respond, just to jab the dead troll in the eye with a blunt stick.

Firstly, I agree with Drocket, this is complete nonsense, and not in an amusing way. proof and point is your insistence this is a 'metaphor' when it's no such thing, you arn't implying or insinuating anything, you're simply yelling big words in the hopes people can't understand you (congratulations on that point though)

    Where to start.

    a) there isn't infinitely small, if you lived on a proton, you would see the quarks and gluons, and thats it, there isn't anything smaller (well, there is, but it doesn't go on infinitely, there is an end point)

    b) light is constant, so even if you were that small (impossible by any stretch of the imagination) you wouldn't see bugger all

    c) there are no surface features of a proton, as you pointed out, it's made up of quarks and energy, hence no surface to speak of. and since quarks arn't composed of anything smaller, we can assume that (were they material and not energy) it would be a smooth, spherical surface)

I have lessons now but rest assured, the rest of your posts are utter tripe and less than gibberish, Rocket was being overly polite
It's not how many questions you ask, but the answers you get - Booms

This is the Acadamy of Science! we don't need to 'prove' anything!

Not that I agree with the troll, just a question though? Are you positive that there is nothing smaller than a quark? Or we just haven't discovered it yet?

Also, I'd like to add that his "infinite paradox" with the triangle was quite easy to answer. Although, I'm sure DrRocket didn't want to answer it in order not to fuel the fire.

Considering the way he described things as infinitely large and infinitely small at the same time, any ole triangle you draw would satisfy his criteria that the triangle have "sides equal to infinity". And of course, we all know that the sum of the interior angles is 180 degrees, . The individual interior angles wouldn't be too much of a stretch either.

Definitely spewing gibberish, but I do wonder what the troll would have said to that.
