We have a design for a solar concentrator that can produce 1200f at a 8’ focal range? This is 20,000 btu according to the design. Is this and hour or a second?
I tried to use a calculator online and came up with 1050f equals 1049 btu a second?
It can start a piece of wood on fire almost instantly.
What I'm trying to do is heat molten salt to a tempurture of 1050f with the least amount of arrays to reduce the cost of a CSP Tower.
