This is another puzzle in our universe that has not been solved.

I think I have the solution.

Our planets atmosphere is being impacted by these bursters. They have been detected to be very high velocity protons.

Since our planet is a tiny object in this vast universe, then this is obvious that they exist in tremendously very high numbers throughout the universe. To exist in such high numbers, I have come to the conclusion that they are ejections from spent 'neutron' stars that also exist in high numbers.
These stars are being impacted by other objects like those that impact on our Sun and other stars. In the regular stars, there are very large numbers of electrons being ejected.
So in this scenerio, fragments from these NS's would decay rapidly to create those high velocity protons by the coulomb repulsion force.

This would not be the same as the heavy elemental decays because these can be much smaller fragment decays.

The natural decay of the heaviest elements that have a ratio of 3 to 2 between the neutrons and the protons could imply that there are some protons trapped within the NS's to be causing normal decay of these stars without any impacting objects, because of the high numbers of these GRB's.

Well, Cosmo, magnetars, Neutron Stars that spin at a furious rate and create an incredible magnetic field that focuses particles into two energized jets, are suspects in GRBís that last less than two seconds. So you sort of independently found a solution that was already known.

    G'day Cosmo

Sometimes what we think is not what is going on.

We need to sometimes read a bit more to understand.

To understand jets is to understand the process of recycling.

That last paragraph in your URL article has reduced the credibility of its content to about 20%?

The time variation of some of those GR fragment decays, compares to the decay of neutrons in the heavy element decays. In this case, neutrons have been known to decay at those fast time periods.

As I have said , those neutron stars are subject to being impacted by surrounding objects that impact the ordinary stars and their flares.

So Gamms Ray Bursters prove the decay of the NS's to recycle matter to its original gaseous state. This evidence would be proof that our universe is a Flat Space everlasting universe.
