Because this is my first post, I would like to say Hello.

Next I would like to hear some of the thoughts of my esteemed fellows on the subject of Google Glass.

I can imagine how such a device might just possibly be helpful to people with some forms of disability. For the rest of us?

Here is an update on Google Glass:

You can order your $1500 prototype if you are a developer, which you will get at the beginning of next year. When they are released in 2014, they will be "more expensive than a smartphone".

I can see employers ending up using something like that to check up on their staff. Though I think that the idea of having a factory full of workers forced to where these does not sit well with me. Whilst this can kind of technology can seem just like a bit of fun there are implications here that could see it used in ways that could effectively lead to the end of privacy.

I don't get it-why anyone would want that kind of connection all the time--addiction?

How do the eyes focus on something that close anyhow?
