I have just seen a breaking development in the area of Navy robot technology. It
would appear that they have developed a firefighting robot that can target and
    extinguish the blaze.
This would be extremely useful especially if a carrier or other warship is
attacked it would mean only a minimal human firefighting crew would be needed to
extinguish fires. The rest of the crew could focus on counter offensive or
defensive measures which are heavily needed during the heat of combat.

I am guessing the robot uses highly advanced autonoumous thermal sensors combine this with a drone helicopter and you would have yourself a pretty bad!@# firestopping tool. An army of chinook drone helicopters full of water to spray out the nextr forest fire. Civilian applications for this are endless really.
