I' very beta in my idea of this but what about a "Goo" ball that can be shot to stick onto a tank. It then shoots out a pulse of electricity that his high enough to disable all electric units in the tank????
I understand its crazy-ish.

Interesting.
How well grounded a tank body is must depend much on weather and terrain.
The basic principle of non-nuclear EMP bombs is violent deformation of a magnet. Normal embodiment includes a capacitor charged coil and explosive package, that fits snugly inside a cruise missile.
I'm thinking that an anti-tank EMP shell or missile could exploit kinetic energy of impact to compress the magnetic field. So you pack more charge into a warhead because it contains little or no explosive of it's own. Additionally, where tanks have reactive armour designed to kick back at kinetic energy, the tank's own dumb defence could drive the EMP which then passes through an explosion like it doesn't exist.
I'm trying to think of a way to turn the tank itself into a bomb, but still chewing at it...
I'd think the tank itself would be exceptionally good protection from this effect acting similar to a Faraday Cages. On the otherhand external components, such as multiple FM antenna would probably fry the communication systems.
Pong, the idea of turning the tank into a bomb itself is a VERY interesting idea!
I'll look into it and post some more stuff.
I guess the trick is to attack asymmetrically. For example EMP is asymmetrical to kinetic armour, and as shown may even exploit the impenetrability of armour (dud if hit a truck).
A software virus would be asymmetrical. Force the tank crew to update Macromedia Flash Player v9.0 For Mobile Devices, while in combat.
A tank could be a "bomb" if manipulated into public relations disaster. I remember something like that happened in Basra.
Tanks are often closely accompanied by supporting infantry. A cheap means of weaponizing tanks against their own side could be to lay a wire designed to snag treads and snap or whip around, using the tank's own energy to harm soldiers.
A common tactic is to stop the tank with fake mine - this causes foot soldiers to behave predictably, and their thinking "ambush" doesn't make them less predictable.
Would be kinda funny to see a tank inadvertently dragging a bomb behind it.
How about a "sticky grenade" or covert emplacement that uses a camera and laser (cheap, now) to paint a tank as though it's about to be hit? By friendly vehicle. Then the tank may target the apparent threat. This would work better at night. Any other ways to generate friendly fire from tanks?
And what would be the range of your gooball? any significant velocity would make your gooball virtually vaporize on impact. you have no idea of what you are talking about.o
This is a good weapon to be able to stick to a tank and disable the electronic system of it this will be a very huge threat and a massive weapon
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. wake me up when a real idea comes by.
