Hello
New member here looking for some specific info. In order to improve an air lift water pump I am looking to design or adapt a device to make air bubbles under water. The point is to reliably produce bubbles of a specific size for instance 30mm. The device must work the same with little or a lot of airflow.
I have my own idea which invovles a sort of upside-down siphon but I'm wondering if there might be a simpler way. What about simply a cone shape(widest at the top) with the air injected at the bottom? If the walls are a shallow enough angle then I would have thought it was possible to create large bubbles and have them break at a specific point. In order to save alot of trial and error I was wondering if some clever people on here could do some sums to figure out a ballpark design that I can work off. Or if you have any better ideas I'm all ears.
Thanks Adam
