    Hello all,

    I am doing rheological research and I have a doubt involving characteristic relaxation and retardation time of a polymeric sample. Do these parameters change when working out of the linear viscoelastic region? Do they increase or decrease when increasing the shear rate applied to the sample? In bibliography I can only find studies in the linear viscoelastic region, but I work with high shear rates (out of this region), so I think that the "typical" frequency sweeps to characterize samples, which applies no shear stress (but oscillations stress) are not suitable in my case. What do you think?

    hmmmm.. maybe I didn't explain the doubt properly? Just let me know if any basic concept seems to be wrong...
