I haven't put too much time into this yet, but I need to find a way to draw or manipulate existing lines in AutoCAD so that they are basically a plot of a hyperbola, parabola, sinusoid, etc.

If this isn't possible, then I would like to somehow export a drawing from AutoCAD that will be recognizable by MATLAB. Then use MATLAB to manipulate the lines based on predefined formulas.

I am going to devote a few hours to this tomorrow (later today) and see what I can come up with, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I have figured out a way to import a single 3D solid from AutoCAD into MATLAB. I found some nifty MATLAB code called "cad2matdemo.m" from the MATLAB Central site: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentr...eexchange/3642.

By exporting the 3D solid into a non-binary .stl (stereo lithography) file you can use this program to convert the vertices and lines into a 3D MATLAB plot.

I hope this info might help anyone who can use it.
