Not really on unless you mechanically connect an alternator to the engine.

    Too much power.

    What for?

Can I fix an inverter to the car battery?
I wana wash traffic cones. For this I want to run a pressure pump. How practical it is?

A 2kVA inverter would flatten and probably ruin a car battery in 15 minutes.

You need a petrol powered pump or a petrol generator.

A heavy duty alternator will do it. And a custom or specialized welding alternator will easily do it.

Some people weld with a second modified alternator attached to their engine.

They used to have a device that you can plug in small 110 volt appliances to a car alternator as well.

I do not recommend running a car AC generator like this though. Although it can be done. Today the alternators are usually approaching their envelope limits, just charging the battery.
