hypothetically speaking...if i had a lock.. that needed a code that was 10 digits long and the choice of digits were : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0
how many possiblities would the code have?
and could you please tell me how you worked this out? thank you very much..
It would be 10 to the 10th power. The number of 1 digit numbers, 0 through 9, is 10. The number of 2-digit numbers, 00 through 99, is 100 (10 squared). The number of 3 digit numbers, 000 through 999, is 1000 (10 cubed) and so on until you get to 10 to the 10th power.
