Short film I made for local news about an equation that's taking a while to crack!

Is that you in the vid?

East Midlands today? As in Midlands UK? Thats where I'm from :P

What are the specs on his comp d'ya think? Looks pretty ancient, wonder what CPU/RAM hes packed into it. (Maybe time to get a new PC? Monitor included!)

From what I know of CFD (Computational fluid dynamics), some supercomputers (even in the Tera-FLOPS range) will still take many days to fully simulate aircraft flows. Compressor simulations are pretty demanding, but full engine simulations are much more so, and full flight simulations are even worse.

An example of a supercomputer used for CFD by aircraft companies:

The room will probably be fully temperature, and humidity controlled too, so there!

Yes it is a festering inferno of sin.

Even the bus station is known as the gaping mouth of hell and has been called the worst piece of architecture in Britain!
