    I was hoping someone could help me out with this question.....

    what is d^2/dx^2((2ax^2-1)(e^-(ax^2)/2)) where a is constant

    Any guidance would be great

    Looks like a homework question.

    Two hints : product and chain rule.


    As is often the case with technical subjects we are presented with an unfortunate choice: an explanation that is accurate but incomprehensible, or comprehensible but wrong.
