I've really only come on to my mathematical interests in the last few years. I am by no means a mathematician. I can work my way a few pages into an eclectic range of mathematical works, but I have mastered no particular mathematical discipline to any significant level. It is hard for me to learn and do (mathematics), but I have a sense of there being a "pristine austerity" to the mathematical arts, and so I willingly apply myself.
