The numbers themselves aren't nearly as interesting as the patterns of their relationships.
Sometimes I think in images, about math, or even just daydreams. Sometimes I do those things with words. It would be interesting to compare FMRI's of the two.
I've really only come on to my mathematical interests in the last few years. I am by no means a mathematician. I can work my way a few pages into an eclectic range of mathematical works, but I have mastered no particular mathematical discipline to any significant level. It is hard for me to learn and do (mathematics), but I have a sense of there being a "pristine austerity" to the mathematical arts, and so I willingly apply myself.
Mathematicians experience symphonies that I can't hear.....*sobs*....but when I can get rid of these damned distractions one day, I am going to start to learn how to play it's instruments. :-)
although I was thinking that it had the same technique to learn it well ,I saw that my other friends had different styles ,
for instance for theoric part,I always write whatever I say , this is mandatory to study as theoric math. but engineering part is different , the only thing that I need to create somethings after having theoric knowledge is only "dream" ...
a notation that states contradiction with my own style to study theoric math is that my some friends / colleagues were studying with almost no writing. they also were writing but their notations were restricted to some clues presumably to remember the exact part of courses but surely they were not writing everything.
all in all I believe if you have no concern with money, both theoric and engineering part of math are PLEASURE...
and yes it has its own language but there is no close relation really with classic language (e.g. chinese , english etc) it consists of discipline and is a bit hard ,because there is strict relation between theorems especially in the same subdivision of maths ,also if you are working general parts there is again strict relation between almost all theorem regardless the subtitle of subject you work.
