    Hello all

I'll be starting a maths and physics degree with the Open University later this year.

Can anyone recommend any material to start working on now?

I did A level maths about 10 years ago, and thats as far as my knowledge goes with maths. I've been brushing up on it for the last year, but could do with a head start before the shock of how difficult it's going to be kicks in.

    Kind regards

    Anthony

And maybe it offers a not quite direct approach instead of, well what your professors would do?

The Open University maths courses seem to start now at MU123.

MU123 - Discovering mathematics - Open University Course

mentions some material on an OU site that might be useful in starting out:

    Thank you.

Whilst waiting to apply, I registered my interest on the course with them. They have since pointed me to the course extracts featured on their website, so I am currently working through those.

    Kind regards

    Anthony
