Hello! Is anyone here who can give me accessible explanation of B-splines and bezier curve or give a link to article on this subject for dummies (not wikipedia)? I need for basic concepts and to understand where using of this functions is profitable.

Splines and Bezier curves are both interpolating polynomials applied to two or three dimensions. (You interpolate the x and y coordinates separately.) The difference is in the way the polynomials are constructed.

You use them anytime you want a smooth curve through a set of points.
