just wondering how important you think maths is in biology?
I'm currently doing ny degree in biology and environmental science and have the option to do double math. do you think it's needed?

I guess it depends which areas of biology, what you think you might do with it in the long run (career, research, etc). And what you would have to drop to take the extra maths.
thanks for the reply. I can see skimming through that math isn't such a big deal in biology. however I hope to go into animal conservation or field biology so was unsure if math would be helpful.

Math related to statitics, probablity, and variations in population is important. Read an entry in the physicians desk reference for any drug. If the math included in the discription of the testing of the drug makes sense to you then you probably know enough Math.
