Math integer number line?I am doing grade 8 math and its integers, and i have to make these to integers into a number line showing the answer
so how would i do that?

example: 183 + (-223) = -40

like i know what to put where but like i know not to go by ones but how do i know how many to go by

Straight line with lots of equally spaced dots. Mark the middle dot as 0 and go from there. How far you go depends on high you want to count.

Number line can also be used to find the absolute value of an integer. Absolute value of an integer is its distance from zero. Absolute value of any number a is denoted as |a|.
