    OK so i have math HW this is an assignment which your supposed to do on your own. Not to be turned in its for review for an up coming test so dont feel guilty for helping me.

    the problem is:

    x^2 - 6x -7 = 0

    im not sure how to solve for this although i know that one of the answers is 7 the question calls for 2 answers but it may only have one... it asks for
    "x = (smaller value)
    x = (larger value)"

    are there in fact 2 answers?

    thank you in advance

    have you learned how to reverse factor?

    x^2 - 6x - 7
    (x )(x )

    what are the factors of -7, that add up to -6?
    (x - 7)(x )
    x = 7 is one of them

    A very useful tool in binomials is the quadratic formula.

    This formula tells you what the 2 zeros are in any binomial equation.

    For your problem

    two answers, with the process necessary to acheive the results. There are two answers because of the fact that;

    Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
