hello to those actively involved in the mathematics forum. i just wanted to ask simple but yet very annoying problem i have.

it seems that simple mathematics like finding the most simple angles in the GCE normal maths seems much harder to me than the GCE advanced pure and statistical mathematics. so im saying calculus and vectors all these advanced stuffs seems more easier than simple sin cos tan, and rounding off, and simple algebra...

does anyone have the same problem??

    thank you for any advices.

You probably need to be a bit more specific, since it is not clear what you mean by "simple sin cos tan ...."

But if you mean doing trigonometric identities, then the perceived differency may be due to the fact that in order to work wth trigonometric identities there is a certain amount of rote memorization involved while with the more "advanced stuff' one needs more logic but less memorization.

basically when i mean simple mathematics in this case is like nothing more than the three basic identities, only interpreting the problem with plain Sin Cos Tan, nothing else, no sec, cosec cot, arccos etc.... also this is not the only problem, there are others like algebra really simple ones, and mensuration, also very simple such as just finding area and volume very easy stuff. but these i make alot of mistakes in.

but when i mean advanced, im talking more about Complex numbers, integration differentiation, higher statistics, vectors in 2&3d as well as polynomials and all this other stuff. this is where i get good marks.

it just irritates me from the fact that simple mathematics bring my average down.
