    how would you simplify;



    in the form of;



    a in this case is another angle. do you know any website that contains these kind of stuff, or this topic? this is actually not my work but was going through AS exam papers.

    im sorry for posting questions constantly, its only because i want to learn and discover things i dont know. i hope you guys can understand thank you.

    I've found the khanacademy website really useful for trig - http://www.khanacademy.org/.

    For this problem i think you need to know the relationship between the two angles - are they complementary? If so it should be possible to simplify it using the pythagorean identities to get it in terms of just sine, the into the form Rsin(theta - a ) using the law of sines. Or something. I'm just learning this also .
