You learn math by doing it.

    It cannot be done passively.

So attend a class and do lots of homework. Or get a book and do the exercises, or prove the theorems for yourself.

If you don't have the energy to do the exercises, then you don't really want to learn mathematics.

Focusing is something that you have to do for yourself. Either you force yourself to focus or you get an instructor in a formal class and let the pressure of the class provide the focus.

Unless you have a compulsive drive for mindless repetition, formalized study and homework is an unnecessarily difficult way to learn.

Mathematics is an artifact of perception; simply observe and reason.

    - Best of luck.

What exactly do you mean by "learn math?" Generally, when I want to learn math I do so not because I actually like math, but because of its universal applications. If you want to be efficient in solving problems, than you should work out the solution to many equations on your particular subject of study (solving problems requires skill, which, just like sports and board games, requires practice). However, if you'd like to understand the concepts behind mathematics than skip the trivial problems and analyze its underlying theorems.

The way that you learn to understand the concepts is by proving the theorems for yourself.
